Exciting Programs Being Offered at the Tolland Family Resource Center:

We have two exciting NEW programs being offered at the Tolland Family Resource Center. Please feature them at your earliest convenience.

Registration has begun.

The Tolland Family Resource Center, FRC ,is excited to announce openings in our new “Natures Academy”…

Natures Academy is currently offering environmental education for 4 and 5 year olds in our community.

Four and five year olds are excellent observers and thinkers. Children in this age group store experiences they will recall and later apply to solve new problems.

In Natures Academy “work” and “play” are interchangeable. We believe work and play should be enjoyable and taken seriously because it leads to deep concentration and learning. There is nothing better to learn from than the nature around us. We will incorporate gardening, compositing, the study of plants and animals and much, much more into our curriculum.

The program will run Tues.-Fri. from 11-3 pm with a lunch break each day. If you are already involved in a morning program arrival time can be flexible. One evening a month the children and staff will hold a nature meeting for parents to join in with and see how nature is key to learning.

Adelante Español

We will be starting a new FRC program in the Fall of 2014, for Pre schoolers – grade 6.

Adelante Español!  is an elementary Spanish program for kids that makes learning a

second language Spanish culture fun through hands-on activities, reading, dancing, music,

science, cooking and playing games and making art projects.  We are taking names and ages of those interested and will develop classes during the day, after school or during the evening based on interest. Call today, let us know your child’s age and what time of day you would prefer.
