Fair Trade Fair at United Congregational Church of Tolland
Buy beautiful gifts for the holidays and change lives!

Give a gift. Change a life. In our consumerism minded society, we are given a huge opportunity during the holidays to be more mindful of the true value of our money. The big-box stores all have good deals, but does your money transform anyone? Does any penny you spend give someone else hope?
The Fair Trade Fair does just that. Come to the United Conregational Church of Tolland on December 5th from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM and you will have the chance to buy beautiful gifts AND change lives. Each dollar spent offers children and adults in poverty and oppression opportunities for education, vocation, health care, literacy, dignity, self-respect and a living fair trade wage.
This year The Fair Trade Fair will offer products by artisan groups from Ten Thousand Villages, Made By Survivors, SERVV, Simply Smiles Coffee, and Heifer International, whichare all dedicated to improving the lives of adults and children most at risk of extreme poverty, trafficking and other forms of exploitation by providing sustainable livelihoods through income generating projects. To learn about one or all be sure to check out their websites.

Part of the vision of the Fair Trade Fair, is the desire to connect people in the developed world to people struggling to survive in underdeveloped nations. By selling their handiwork, we are able to tell their story. By purchasing their work you can be a part of providing them with hope and a future. The United Congregational Church is located at 45 Tolland Green, Tolland; www.ucctolland.org.
