Fake Hostage Report In Tolland Still Lands Man With Criminal Charge
A hostage call in Tolland turned out to be just a man being where he wasn't supposed to, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT β A phony hostage situation in Tolland still left a man with a protective order violation, state police said.
According to an arrest report, at 1:15 p.m. on Dec. 20, state troopers responded to a home on Fox Ridge Lane in Tolland after receiving a report that a man was holding someone hostage at the dwelling, according to an arrest report.
Police determined that wasn't the case, but also determined that a 27-year-old from town was there in violation of a court order.

He was subsequently charged with violating that court order, state police said.
