Fence Hangs 'Dangerously' Over Highway After Crash in Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — The bridge on Route 195 that passes over Interstate-84 was damaged during a vehicle rollover on Sunday, authorities said.

According to Tolland Alert, the crash took place at about 6 p.m.

The occupants of the vehicle were able to get out, but two lanes of Route 195 were blocked for about two hours. I-84 was also partially closed as debris fell over the side and a fence was damaged on the bridge, according Tolland Alert.

Crews also had to secure the bridge's pedestrian chain link fence because it was "hovering dangerously above the travel portion of of I-84," fire officials said.
