Fiery Crash In Tolland Leaves Car Occupant With Severe Burns

TOLLAND, CT — A crash and subsequent car fire on Interstate-84 Monday night in Tolland left one person with severe burns, fire officials said.

The crash took place just after midnight on the eastbound side of the highway near Exit 69.

Fire officials said one person suffered severe burns and was first transported to one local hosptial to be stabilized and then transferred to a regional hospital via Life Star helicopter.

One lane of interstate was closed for about two hours.
