Final Respects Paid To Police Dog Drago

TOLLAND, CT — On Tuesday, state police and well-wishers said their final farewells to canine officer Drago.

A group gathered at the CSP's Troop C barracks, where Drago was stationed with his handler, Trooper First Class Kyle Kaelberer.

Drago died on July 4 because of medical complications.

Drago's vest and leash were placed at the sign of the new canine obstacle and training course, which he, Kaelberer and a local Eagle Scout helped design.
