Step out against cancer at the St. Jude Give thanks. Walk. ™ on Nov. 22
WHAT: Walkers from more than 65 communities nationwide, including Greater Hartford, are stepping out to support kids battling cancer and other deadly diseases at this year’s St. Jude Give thanks. Walk.™, benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.

The walk begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk in South Windsor. The family friendly event will feature children’s activities, including face painting, balloon twisting, crafts and more.
Registration is FREE at www.givethankswalk.org. All participants are encouraged to raise money to form teams and raise funds to help ensure families never pay St. Jude for anything.

In addition to supporting the lifesaving mission of St. Jude, participants can receive incentives at the $35, $100 and $250 levels to help make great strides in achieving their fundraising goals. Prizes include a St. Jude Give thanks. Walk. t-shirt, tumbler and tote bag.
WHO: All members of the Greater Hartford Community and beyond are invited to participate. Target and America Airlines are National Series Sponsors of the St. Jude Give thanks. Walk., and national teams include: Tri Delta Fraternity, New York & Company, Brooks Brothers, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., AutoTrader.com and Chili’s Grill & Bar. Local sponsors of the event are CULTEC, McPhee Electric, CT Kids & Family, Medsolutions, The Hartford Courant and WWYZ Country 92-5.
