Hartford County 4-H Fair This Weekend

The fair will be held at the Four Town Fairgrounds in Somers starting Friday, Aug. 15 through Sunday, Aug. 17.

If you enjoy tractor pulls, livestock exhibits and shows, food, rides and everything else that happens at a country fair, then the 78th annual Hartford County 4-H Fair is just the ticket for this weekend.

The annual 4-H fair will take place on Friday, Aug. 15 through Sunday, Aug. 17, at the Four Town Fairgrounds located on Egypt Road in Somers, just off of Route 83.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and children 7-12, and free for children 6 and under. Parking is free.

The fair runs Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. All proceeds go directly to the Hartford County 4-H Fair Association. Throughout the weekend, visitors will be entertained with 4-H livestock exhibits and shows, non-animal exhibits and demonstrations, 4-H dog show, doodlebug and horse draws, live bands on Friday and Saturday evenings. There will be children’s entertainment and a craft show 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

There also will be an antique tractor pull starting at 9 a.m. Saturday. At 9 a.m. Sunday, there will be the Austin Harlow Memorial 5k Road Race & 1 Mile Fun Walk.
