Heartbreaking Finale for Tolland Boys Soccer Team

WATERBURY, CT — A second straight Class M state championship was unfortunately not in the cards for the Tolland High School boys soccer team.

The 16th-seeded Eagles dropped a 3-1 decision to No. 5 Brookfield in the semifinals Tuesday at Municipal Stadium.

Brookfield will take on No. 18 Ellington in the finals, at a location and time to be announced.

There were eight schools from Hartford and Tolland counties competing in semifinal action Tuesday in boys soccer and girls volleyball. Here are results of those matchups; click the header for the complete bracket.
