High-Quality Summer Art and Music Instruction for All Ages!
The Community School of the Arts is proud to offer high-quality art/music/theater programs for all ages, year round, including summer camps!
The Community School of the Arts is proud to offer high-quality art, music and theater programs for all ages, year round. The summer session is beginning next week for all programs that meet on a weekly basis. Visit http://csa.uconn.edu for all of our summer programs (including camps), and to register online!
Some exciting and unique programs being offered this summer include:
Performance Art! - the perfect program for any musician or vocalist looking to gain or increase their comfort on the stage. Practice performing in a supportive and friendly setting with activities planned to help you experience working through distractions, and discussions held regarding common topics such as stage anxiety. An excellent program for any musician of any skill level.

Creative Writing - This seven week program will combine the use of visual art and music with the creative world of the written word. Use these mediums as inspiration for fiction work to be developed and work-shopped in class!
Music Theory - For all levels of experience -develop and improve aural, analytical and compositional skills through written and listening exercises.

Pottery (All levels and Advanced)- Have you always wanted to learn how to use a pottery wheel, or make your own pottery? Classes for all levels of experience are available to teens and adults in six week courses over the summer. Free practice time is provided every week outside of class!
Group Piano - A program specially designed for children age 6 to 12, and led by CSA Director Linda Neelly, where kids can learn basic piano skills through games and hands-on activities.
Summer Camps! - CSA is offering a wide variety of summer camps designed for children from 4 to 17 years old! From jewelry making, to chamber music, to the production of Peter Pan, there is something for every child to enjoy.
