Huge Tree Hanging Over Road In Tolland Being Removed
An imposing tree in Tolland will be facing chainsaws Thursday.
TOLLAND, CT — A massive tree that has been hanging over a road in Tolland for years is set to be taken down Thursday.
The pine tree sits on the side of a hill at the corner of Clarke and Loehr roads in the Route 31 corridor. A good portion of it hangs over Loehr Road.
On Thursday, a contractor for the town is scheduled to remove the tree, officials said.

In order to accommodate large equipment, Clarke Road will be closed and traffic will be detoured through Ridge Road officials said.
Residents who live on Loehr Road will not be affected.
