TOLLAND, CT — Icy road conditions on two consecutive mornings kept emergency crews busy in Tolland.

At about 7:15 Monday morning, a vehicle drove into a utility pole along the 200 block of Buff Cap Road, fire officials said.

An icy road was a factor, fire officials said.

On Sunday morning, emergency crews had to contend with multiple incidents on both sides of interstate 84 as vehicles were slipping and sliding on iced-over pavement, fire officials said.
