'Icing Event' Causes Havoc In Tolland Wednesday Morning
Tolland and state officials Wednesday morning issued an icy road warning ... and they weren't kidding.

TOLLAND, CT β Emergency ,management officials in Tolland were urging motorists to stay off the roads Wednesday morning while public works crews addressed what is being termed an "icing event." A crash also closed a section of highway on the Tolland-Willington line.
A light drizzle began to fall at 7:10 a.m. and it began freezing over about 20 unites later, authorities said.
Trucks were on the roads at the start of the rainfall and it typically is about two-and-a-half hour sweep to cover the town's local roads, authorities said. The quick icing made the efforts take much longer, officials said.
