Knife-Toting Bandit Holds Up Tolland Store

TOLLAND, CT — State police said they are looking with a man who held up a Tolland store in Sunday night with a knife.

At 9:30 p.m., state police received a "911/Panic Alarm" call from the Tolland County Market, 404 Merrow Road, the local address for state Route 195.

The caller said he was just robbed a knife point by a lone man wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, gloves and a bandana, according to an incident report. The clerk handed over an unknown amount of cash and the bandit fled on foot in a northwest direction, according to a report.

State police released surveillance images of the bandit.

A police dog track was unsuccessful and troopers are still looking for the man. Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity at the time can call state police at 869-896-3236. Calls can remain anonymous, state police said.
