'Large Sheet' Of Ice Flies Off Truck On I-84: State Police

, A "large sheet of ice" flew off one truck and hit another truck on a stretch of Interstate-84 last week, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT — What state police described as a "large sheet of ice" flew off a commercial truck and hit a rental truck on a stretch of Interstate-84 last week, a report indicates.

The incident took place at 7:31 a.m. on Jan. 30 on the westbound side of I-84, according to a report.

The truck, owned by a company called Midland Transport and registered in Nebraska, was being driven by a 42-year-old man from Nebraska, according to a report.

The ice became "dislodged" and hit a Ryder rental truck being driven by a 44-year-old Enfield man, according to a report.

No injuries were reported.
