Lawnmower Becomes Engulfed In Flames In Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — A lawnmower burst into flames in Tolland Monday morning.

Tolland fire officials did not specify where the accident took place, but they did share an image of the flaming mowing on social media.

Fire officials said they managed to extinguish the flames quickly and added the mower was far enough away from any dwelling to cause any other damage, except for a scorched section of lawn.

The action by firefighters did come with a warning.

"Thankfully, there were no exposures that could have made this fire worse," fire officials said. "It's a reminder to clean your lawnmower after each use."
