Lions Club International Peace Poster Contest

The Tolland Lions Club sponsored the 6th and 7th grade Art Classes at the Tolland Middle School in the Lions Club International Peace Poster

The Tolland Lions Club sponsored the 6th and 7th grade Art Classes at the Tolland Middle School in the Lions Club International Peace Poster Contest during September and October. The students were asked to create an original artwork to share their vision of world peace that reflects the theme of this year’s annual contest. This year’s theme was “We Are All Connected”. The contest winners were revealed and presented award certificates, and cash prizes during the morning announcements at school on November 3rd. More than 80 student artists participated and the winners were chosen by the Tolland Lions Club members at their November 1st meeting. First place was awarded first place to Savanna D’Onofrio (pictured on right) and second place to A.J. Wells. Savanna’s poster will now go on to the District and State contests, and possibly national and international contests. Congratulations to all the artists on a job well done.
