Make an Animated Short Film

New VCAC Class for Adults and Teens.

Begin an animated short with this fun, exciting class. Participants are guided through the steps of animation pre-production and will develop the story premise, storyboards, character designs, and background designs necessary to create their own animated cartoon. This is perfect for adding to a portfolio or jump starting a new passion. Please bring 11x14 drawing paper, tracing paper, HB pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners, and gray markers (preferably Prismacolor).

Instructor Tracy MacLauchlan is an award-winning animator with a love for story and cartoons. She earned a BFA in classical character animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design, and works in all areas of animation production. Her professional credentials include creating animated shorts and character properties for Hallmark Cards, pitching an animated series to Warner Bros., and animating for Joe Murray’s (Rocko’s Modern Life, Camp Lazlo) webtoon, Frog in a Suit.
