Malarky Jazz Quartet to play at Tolland Lion’s Club Annual Memorial Day Breakfast Sunday, May 28 ~ 8-11 a.m.

TOLLAND - (06084) – Malarky will be performing at Tolland Lion’s Club annual Memorial Day Breakfast on Tolland Green. The breakfast is being held on Sunday, May 28 from 8 to 11:00 a.m., just before the Tolland Memorial Day Parade. This Lion’s Club breakfast is an annual fundraiser for the club.

Enjoy a breakfast of pancakes with all the fixins’ for a minimal cost. Throw in the jazzy sounds of Malarky, and you’ve got a great start to the Memorial Day celebration in Tolland, and all for a good cause!
Malarky is an energetic jazz quartet comprised of four students from Tolland High School: Jim Gifford on bass; Jack Murphy on drums; Owen Raccagni on keys; and Fisher Thompson on saxophone. This quartet has more than 30 years of combined experience. The band started playing together in 2016, fueled by a mutual interest in jazz. It became clear right away that something magical and worthwhile was going on. This quartet just clicked; they knew right away they had just the right sound to take it further, and they haven’t slowed down yet, nor are they planning on it.
