He was arrested on a warrant.

TOLLAND, CT - A Vernon man who state police say fled a car crash because he was a suspect in a supermarket larceny attempt has been charged with a pair of crimes.

Jason Hansen was picked up on a warrant Monday and charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, state police said. The 31-year-old Hansen lives on West Street in Vernon, according to an arrest report.

On June 24, troopers were summoned to Baxter Street in Tolland for a motor vehicle crash, according to an arrest report. While en route, dispatchers told troopers that one of the vehicle's occupant was running front the scene because he was a suspect in an attempted larceny that had just taken place at the Big Y supermarket at Fieldstone Commons, according to an arrest report.
