Man Caught Going 110 MPH on I-84 in Tolland

The man had a suspended license, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT — A Derby man with a suspended license is facing a pair of criminal charges after being clocked at better than 110 mph on a stretch of Interstate-84 early Sunday, state police said.

The incident was on Saturday at 3:22 a.m. in I-84 Eastbound at Exit 69 in Tolland, state police said. The state police Troop C barracks are just up the road from the exit.

Joseph Staffer, 24, of Derby, was charged with reckless driving and driving while under suspension, state police said.

He is due in court on March 20, state police said.
