Man Charged for Faking Contractor Status, Then Abandoning Job: Warrant

He is due in court next month, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT — A Massachusetts man has been charged with false representation of a home improvement contractor after he skipped town on a job on the Old Post Road, state police said.

Marc Dargi, 46, of Westfield, MA, has a court date of Jan. 3, state police said.

The incident stems from a complaint by a resident on Dec, 1, according to an arrest warrant. According to a warran, three checks totaling more than $2,000 were written as compensation, but work was never finished, according to the warrant.

The warrant also alleges that Dargi did not have a license, even though he performed plumbing and electrical work.
