Man Facing Second Charge This Year from Troop C for Violating Protective Order

He was most recently arrested on Monday, state police said.

TOLLAND, CT — A Somers man has now been arrested twice this year for violating a protective order in Tolland, law enforcement and judicial system records indicate.

Peter Eckle, 33, of Main Street, Somers, was taken into custody at 12:15 a.m. on Monday on Tolland Stage Road, an arrest report indicates.

State police said he was no involved in any physical altercation, just that he was not supposed to be near the victim.

Eckel appeared on court on Monday and is scheduled to appear again Tuesday for a hearing, court records indicate.

He will also answer to another charge of violating a protective order issued out of the state police troop C barracks in April, according to court records.
