Man Fired at by Tolland Homeowner Facing Charges
State police were looking for a man and a woman who appeared to be burglarizing a home in Tolland.

TOLLAND, CT — The man fired at by Tolland homeowner armed with a personal gun two weeks ago has been arrested, state police said.
Dale Laliberte, 45, of Southbridge, MA, was extradited to the state police Troop C barracks on Friday, an arrest report indicates.
He was charged with third-degree larceny and burglary along with first-degree criminal trespass, according to an arrest report.

He was being held in a $250,000 bond with a Jan. 2 court date, state police said.
At 6:40 p.m. on Dec. 12, troopers were dispatched to a home on Peter Green Road in Tolland for a reported burglary, state police said.

The homeowner told troopers that he arrived home to find a full-size, dark-color pick-up truck, possibly an extended cab, parked in his driveway and backed up near the garage, according to a report.
A person state police are describing as a white female was seated in the passenger seat, according to a report.
The homeowner confronted the woman and was told she and a male companion were lost and looking for directions from the victim's neighbor, according to a report.
he homeowner then heard a noise from behind him, turned around and saw what state police are describing as a middle-age white man running toward him with something in his hand, according to a report.
The homeowner then pulled out a handgun he carries and fired at the man, but the intruder was able to get into the pick-up truck and flee the area, according to a report.
No injuries were reported and the homeowner was licensed to possess the handgun, according to a report.
The male suspect is being described as white, and he was wearing a "work-type shirt" with reflective markings, a "baseball-style cap," camouflage pants and work boots.
The suspect vehicle is being described as a full-size, late-model dark-color pick-up truck, possibly a Dodge, with a four-door or extended cab with a large plastic barrel in the pickup bed.
Troopers searched the property, area and residence for the suspects or additional suspects, according to a report.
The rear kitchen sliding glass door at the residence was smashed in, according to a report.
State Police detectives from Eastern District Major Crime responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Surveillance camera images had been released by state police.
