Hamburgers have been a staple of the McDonald’s menu since the restaurant’s founding in 1948, when a hamburger was priced at just 15 cents. Since then, the classic burger has seen many iconic transformations such as the Big Mac, the Quarter Pounder, Bacon Clubhouse and McDonald’s newest variation, the Triple Cheeseburger. All McDonald’s hamburgers are made with a juicy 100% beef patty simply seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper, tangy pickles, minced onions, ketchup and mustard.

McDonald’s works closely with its suppliers to ensure all beef patties are made from 100% pure beef. All McDonald’s beef is ground from the trim of cuts like chuck, round and sirloin. Burgers are then formed into patties and flash frozen to seal in the freshest flavor. All of McDonald’s ground beef is USDA-inspected and meets or exceeds USDA standards to deliver the best quality product.
