Men of Tolland: Show Your Town Spirit by Taking Part in the Tolland 300th Anniversary Beard Contest

Echoing a contest that has taken place during past town anniversaries, the Tolland 300th Anniversary Committee is announcing that it is holding a beard-growing contest for male residents of the town this year.

All the men need to do to enter is to stop by Jerry’s Barber Shop and Shave Parlor at 235 Merrow Road to get their clean-shaven “before” photo taken and then start growing!

The winners will judged at the Tolland 300th townwide picnic on Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. at Tolland Middle School.

Prizes will be awarded for the best overall beard, the longest beard, the thickest beard, the most original beard, and the best effort.
