Mishaps Close 2 Roads In Tolland Early Tuesday

TOLLAND, CT — Two roads were closed in Tolland in separate incidents during the early morning hours Thursday.

At about 2 a.m., Old Stafford Road was closed at Dunn Hill and Sugar Hill while utility companies repaired a cracked pole, courtesy of a car that slammed into it, fire officials said.

The crash involved just one car, according to fire officials.

At about 5 a.m., South River Rd was closed near No. 433 because of utility wires in the road, fire officials said.
