Motorcycle Crash In Willington Claims Life Of Tolland Resident

State police have released a report on a fatal weekend motorcycle crash in Willington.

WILLINGTON, CT — State police on Monday released more details on a fatal motorcycle crash from the weekend.

The crash took place at 6:54 p.m. Saturday on River Road (state Route 32) in Willington. A 2014 Harley Davidson FXSB, driven by 48-year-old Bryan Alexander, of Tolland, was heading south on River Road at a high rate of speed, just south of the Sunoco station near the Interstate-94 interchange, according to a report.

He tried to pass two vehicles on a no-passing zone and, while passing the second car, hit the north side dirt shoulder, sped back across the road onto the southbound shoulder and crashed into a utility pole, according to a report. He fell off the bike, according to a report.

He died as a result on his injuries, state police said. He was not wearing a helmet, according to a report.

The road was closed for several hours and the crash remains under investigation, state police said. State police said that any witnesses can call the Troop C barracks at 860-896-3200.
