Name the Elephant Parties and Story Hours at VCAC

Fun for kids of all ages!

The Vernon Community Arts Center has a humongous, concrte elephant on its lawn that needs a name. Please help us choose one!

Come to our Name the Elephant Parties and Story Hours. VCAC Board President Paul Shimer will read on August 28th at 10:30 AM. Mayor Dan Champagne will read on September 4th at 10:30 AM.

Story hours will be held under the elephant, weather permitting -- please bring something to sit on. In case of rain, story hours will be held in the downstairs multipurpose room.

Each story hour will include a craft and cookies and lemonade in the multipurpose room. Different stories will be read each time, so please come to more than one story hour party!

The winning name will be announced in September, National Literacy Month, in the local papers and the child who chose the name will be awarded a prize.
