New Canaan Man Charged After 110 MPH Police Pursuit In Tolland
A man in an expensive car led state police on a pursuit that exceeded 100 mph in north central Connecticut, a report shows.

TOLLAND, CT — A 21-year-old New Canaan man is facing several charges after a 110 mph sate police pursuit in an expensive car along Interstate 84 that spilled onto a local road in Tolland.
According to a state police arrest report, at 8:10 p.m. on Feb. 16, a trooper on patrol noticed a Mercedes-Benz AMG traveling at a high rate of speed heading west and passing the Exit 70 interchange.
The car was weaving in an out of traffic over all three lanes, according to an arrest report. After the cops gave chase, the state police cruiser and the Mercedes exceeded speeds of 110 mph, according to an arrest report.

The Mercedes then exited the highway at Exit 69 and headed west on Route 74, only to reappear on I-84 and was stopped at Exit 66 in Vernon, according to an arrest report.
The driver was was charged with failure to use a turn signal, reckless driving (faster than 85 mph), engaging police in a pursuit, improper passing, failure to drive in the proper lane, failure to obey a stop sign, interfering with police and second-degree reckless endangerment.

He is set to appear in Rockville Superior Court on March 4.
