New Flag Flying Over Trooper Memorial On I-84 In Tolland County
A Stafford veterans group has donated a new flag for a monument to a fall trooper in Tolland.
TOLLAND, CT — A new flag is flying above a memorial to a fallen state trooper on Interstate 84 in Tolland County.
Over the weekend, a member of Stafford-based American Legion Post 26 donated an American Flag to replace the weathered flag on I-84 at the Memorial Site for Trooper First Class Kevin Miller.
Miller died in the line of duty in a crash near that spot on March 29, 2018. His state police cruiser came upon a slow-moving truck on a notorious hill on the eastbound side of the highway near Exit 68. It has been the site of numerous crashes over the years.

A contingent of troopers went to the memorial site and replaced the flag while paying their respects to Miller.
