New Tolland Middle School Principal Likely to Start in Early 2017
She will be making her first official visit next week, the superintendent said.

TOLLAND, CT — New Tolland Middle School Principal Mary Grande is scheduled to make her first visit to the school on Dec. 14 to meet the staff and students, Superintendent of Schools Walter Willett said in a website post.
She hopes to be on board join us early in the new year after being recently hired, he said.
A meet-and-greet with parents will be scheduled soon after she starts, he said.

Grande is coming to Tolland from Bolton, where she has been an assistant principal, and principal for nearly a decade.
Before that she was a teacher, administrator, and athletic director for the Manchester public schools.

Willett described Grande as "gregarious, personable, kind, intelligent, and dynamic leader."
He added, "She is student centered and focused on the love and humanity required to help children and an organization be successful."
