No Votes Prevail In Tolland Budget Referendum

TOLLAND, CT — Voters Tuesday night rejected Tolland's proposed $64 million budget for the 2025-25 fiscal year.
Yes votes totaled 812.
No votes totaled 1,060.

The turnout was 18.3 percent.
The bottom line of $64,559,940 represented an increase of 4.89 percent over the current fiscal year's budget of $61,551,357.

The budget proposal called for an estimated tax rate of 38.74 mills, an increase of 1.41 mills or 3.78 percent.
The motor vehicle tax rate will remain capped at 32.46 mills.
