Oven Turns Into Smoker In Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — Tolland firefighters were able to minimize the damage to a local home after an oven turned into a smoker, officials said.

The fire broke out at about 6 p.m. and a heavy smoke condition was in the in house when firefighters arrived, officials said.

"All hands" were working at the scene, officials said.

Firefighters were able to quickly remove the stove from the house and set up ventilation to minimize damage to the home, officials said.
