The ring's owner was making a donation.

TOLLAND, CT — Tolland firefighters have found the owner of the wedding band that was lost during Saturday's Fill the Boot campaign for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The ring — a wedding band — fell into the boot while its owner was making a donation. Fire officials said the woman drove through the Route 195-Rhodes Road intersection in Tolland between 10 a.m. and noon Saturday.

Just after 2 p.m., the Tolland Firefighters union local posted on Facebook that fire officials were looking for her.
