Pickup Truck Driver Accused Of Running Bicyclist Off The Road In Tolland Road Rage Incident

TOLLAND, CT — A pickup trick driver is accused of running a bicyclist off a road in Tolland during a road rage incident, state police said.
The incident took place Saturday just before 10 a.m., state police said.
According to a crash report, a 61-year-old Manchester man was driving a full-size pickup in the area of Route 31 and Cedar Swamp Road. According to a crash report a disturbance had erupted between the pickup driver and a bicyclist as they were traveling along the road, heading north with the bike apparently on the truck's left.

The driver then veered the pickup into the bicycle and pushed it with the truck's driver's side mirror, according top a crash report. The bike veered across the road and wound up on the the southbound shoulder, according to a crash report.
The pickup driver was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, reckless driving, second-degree breach of peace and failure to drive in the proper lane.
