Picture Tolland: When The TFD Joined Santa At The Chimney

TOLLAND, CT — The latest installment of the Picture Tolland series takes us to a lost service in town.

In an image from the Tolland Fire Department archives, Tolland Firefighter Doug Indermaur is shown on Truck 240 going up to inspect a chimney at a resident's house on Dec. 12, 2011.

From 2001 to 2017, the Tolland Fire Department provided free chimney inspection and cleaning to residents upon request. Due to liability reasons, the TFD no longer offers the service.
