As Practice Opens, a Look at Tolland Fall State Championships
The first official day of practice for fall sports is Aug. 25; Patch looks back at state titles won by Tolland teams in autumns past.
TOLLAND, CT — Thursday marks the official opening of practice for fall high school sports, and the first day gives every team hope and optimism that perhaps a state championship is in the cards.
A total of 19 Tolland teams have captured state titles in fall sports in the past:
- girls cross country (5): 2015 (M/State Open), 2014 (M/State Open), 2013 (M/State Open), 2012 (M), 2011 (M)
- boys cross country (5): 2011 (MM), 2010 (M/State Open), 2009 (M), 2008 (M), 2003 (M)
- boys soccer (2): 2015 (M), 2009 (M)
