Propane Leak Shuts Down Area From Stafford to Tolland
The leak was discovered on Friday morning.

STAFFORD, CT — A leak from what authorities are calling a "large" propane tank shut down an area between Stafford and Tolland in Friday.
Tolland 911 reported that the leak was discovered at about 10:30 a.m.
The tank is on a commercial parcel on Route just south of Route 190, according to Tolland County 911.

Firefighters from several departments rushed to the scene and Route 32 was closed off between the Route 190 rotary in Stafford and Plains Road Tolland, according to Tolland County 911.
Power has been turned off in the area, according to Tolland County 911. According to the Eversource Energy outage map, 54 homes were initially affected.

At about 2 p.m., officials said the leak was under control.
