Sand Hill Construction Project Under Way In Tolland

A poplar connector to two state roads is being re-done.

TOLLAND, CT — A project to completely reconstruct Sand Hill Road in Tolland began this week.

Sand Hill is popular with motorists because it connects two well-traveled state roads — Route 74 and Route 30.

Crews Friday and Monday were busy grinding down and removing the old pavement. Things were smoothed out by Tuesday as it was down to the dirt.
