Silk City Chorus to Perform at Music on the Green in Tolland

Mark your calendar to attend the next Music on the Green performance on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the United Congregational Church of Tolland which is located at 45 Tolland Green in Tolland.

A cappella music is making a resurgence on college campuses and via many programs on television. Come spend an afternoon listening to great music in the barbershop style with the award-winning Silk City Chorus of Manchester. Under the direction of Todd Lamson, the chorus is celebrating its 51st year of bringing musical entertainment to audiences in the central Connecticut area. Featuring several quartets as well as the 50-man chorus, the Silk City Chorus will perform music from the old standards, to Broadway hits, and songs from our favorite movies. Currently, the Connecticut Chorus Champion, the chorus annually ranks in the top ten barbershop choruses in the Northeast.
