Smoking Car Causes Brief Stir On I-84 In Tolland
A smoking car caused a brief stir on the highway in Tolland Monday.

TOLLAND, CT — Tolland firefighters sped to a notorious section of Interstate-94 for what appeared to be their first major call on the highway in about a month-and-a-half, but it turned out to be just a smoking car.
The initial call came in at about 3:45 p.m. for a possible car fire on I-84 westbound between exits 67 and 68.
It turned out it was a mechanical issue, fire officials said.
