Smoking Car Shuts Down Highway Lanes In Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — Tolland emergency crews put out a car fire on Interstate 84 late Monday morning.

The incident took place at about 11:30 a.m. on I-84 Eastbound, just prior to Exit 68.

Smoke was pouring from a silver compact car that had pulled to the right shoulder.

The scene prompted state police to close two lanes to traffic.
