State Bond Commission Revises Funding For Regional Animal Control Facility

HARTFORD, CT — The State Bond Commission has approved a revision to previously authorized bond funding for a regional animal control facility serving Tolland, Willington and Stafford.

The revised authorization updates the scope of the project and allows the towns to use the funding to construct a new regional animal control facility rather than adding to an existing facility.

Bond funding for the project had previously been authorized. The three towns joined together to develop the regional facility to serve their communities.

State Sen. Jeff Gordon (R-35th District" praised the commission's action.

"This is an important investment that will help our towns address local needs and strengthen infrastructure," Gordon said. "I want to thank Governor Lamont and the members of the State Bond Commission for recognizing the priority and supporting a project that will make a meaningful difference for the people of Tolland, Stafford and Willington."
