State Police Snag 49 Bags of Heroin in Traffic Stop Off I-84
State police intercepted the drugs on the highway Wednesday, state police said.
WILLINGTON, CT — State police snagged a stash of heroin after a traffic stop off the highway on Wednesday.
On Wednesday at about 8 p.m., troopers from the Tolland-based Troop C barracks were conducting motor
vehicle enforcement operations on Interstate-84 eastbound in the area of exit 69 in Tolland when they observed a vehicle missing a rear light, state police said.

The driver also committed a "traffic violation, state police said. Troopers stopped the vehicle in the area of Route 74 and Route 32 in Willington, state police said.
Troopers located 49 bags of suspected heroin in the vehicle and the operator, Brian Pomposelli, 32, of Brooklyn in eastern Connecticut, was taken into custody and possession of heroin, failure to stop for a stop sign and operating with suspended license, state police said.

He is due on Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 25, state police said.
