Store Employee Charged In Tolland Commercial Theft
State police have made an arrest in connection with a springtime store larceny in Tolland.

TOLLAND, CT β A store employee has been charged in connection with a springtime commercial larceny in Tolland, state police said.
According to an arrest warrant, the case dates back to 5:30 on the morning of March 27, when the owner of a gas station and store on the 200 block of Merrow Road came to work and noticed that an employee was not present.
The owner called the employee four times without getting an answer, according to a warrant.

In addition to a door left unlocked, the owner noticed that a safe was open, an alarm was disabled and $5,000 was missing, according t0 a warrant.
A camera system was not disabled and the employee was seen heading in and out of the area at the store, according to a warrant.

Christian Reyes, 37, of Tolland, was charged in the case with burglary and larceny, both in the third degree. They are both felonies.
