Sunday's Snow Kept Responders Busy In Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — Sunday's intense and lengthy snow squall resulted in roughly a dozen spin-outs in the area of exit 68 and the turnaround on interstate 84 in Tolland, fire and police officials said.

One example was on I-84 eastbound, just prior to exit 68, a rollover took place involving multiple vehicles.

Several local crashes also took place. They included:

• In the the area of 230 Grahaber Road, a car hit a utility pole, but when authorities arrived, it had fled the scene.
• A car hit a utility pole then a rock wall on Loehr Road after skidding on a turn. No one was injured.
