The Country Butcher honored for Tolland 300th donation

     Stephen Boyer, a Tolland native who owns The Country Butcher at Spring Meadow Farm, was honored by the town council June 24 for making a $3,500 in-kind donation to the Tolland 300th Anniversary celebration.
     Boyer recently supplied the food and catering service when the anniversary committee held an event to thank sponsors on May 12. He will also provide the food at an anniversary event in 2015.
     George Baker, vice chairman of the town council, joined Celeste Senechal, chairwoman of the anniversary committee, and Kathy Bach, president of the Tolland Historical Society, in honoring Boyer.
