THS Students Named Merit Scholarship Finalists

TOLLAND, CT — Dominique Fox, principal of Tolland High School has announced that Corey Jalbert, Owen

Raccagni and Jacob Wasserstein have been named finalists in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Corporation competition.

The three students were named semifinalists in September 2016.

From March to mid-June, the winners of some 7,500 Merit Scholarships will be announced.

Three types of scholarships for undergraduate study are offered each year — corporate-sponsored, college-sponsored, and National Merit $2,500 scholarships.

All winners are chosen on the basis of their scholastic and extracurricular accomplishments, abilities, and
potential for future academic success.
