Thursday Morning Fire Wrecks Tolland Home
A GoFundMe account has been set up to assist a Tolland family displaced by a fire.

TOLLAND, CT — A raging fire wrecked a Tolland home early Thursday morning, fire officials said.
The fire broke out at the Eastview Terrace residence at abut 3 a.m., fire officials said.
The garage was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, officials said. As firefighters began to battle the blaze, a sudden burst of "flammable liquid" took place, sending a stream down the driveway, officials said.

Several other fire crews were then called to the scene.
Firefighters had to back out of the dwelling in several locations when the flamed spread and floors became compromised, officials said.

Public Safety Director and Fire Chief John Littell said it will likely be "a total loss." He termed the first "very stubborn" and said water was an issue because of there was no hydrants in the area. Tankers from surrounding towns were called to the scene, he said.
